I’d be stupid to not take my own advice about racking up points ASAP especially after waxing poetic on the 4-star prize, so I ground out some more races to get some more orbs and did another 10-pull.

Imagine the emotional roller coaster of getting a 4-star in your pull (see that rainbow aura orb above the Larkam card?) and then it turning out to not be the event 4-star and friggin’ Sasha of all people instead.

Sorry, Sasha lovers. I’m sure you exist. Somewhere. That isn’t here.

Two copies of the event Larkam and an additional copy of the event Matthias to at least level boost, which I’ll need since now I have to run both of them on my event team but Larkam’s only rank 24 and Matthias is even worse at rank 16, but I’m sure they’ll gain a couple of affection ranks from this.

I worked my way up to getting the Hughes/Laith/Musluca 3-star and Larkam 4-star event cards, which makes my fervor for staying in the top 3000 (if not top 2500) ranks this event seem a little silly since we have 5 days left to go in the event.

If you didn’t already some how get event cards from gacha, the 3-star and 4-star do give you additional event points.

Unfortunately, somehow 4-star Larkam is earning less bonus event points than 2-star Fal/Kin’caro? It might also have something to do with Slayer rankings and card Spirit levels: I’m comparing a Level 1 4-star card on Rank 11 against a Level 34 2-star on Rank 35. (Fal got a lot of use on my event racing team because he was a 3-star prize in the first event, so his natural stat boost means that I run him almost all the time.)

I’ll do some more testing/leveling and find out, since I’ve got 5 more days. Science!

I spent all of yesterday - Otome Yusha maintenance day - furiously checking the app to see if maintenance was over - so imagine my shock when it still hadn’t ended after 10 hours. (I had a point/ranking lead I wanted to protect before Japan woke up.)

So waking up this morning, it was the first thing I checked. The app gave everyone 150 Orbs as an apology for the extended maintenance, and I immediately turned around and dropped that on the event gacha.

If 2 4-stars (including the event Dill) is the game’s way of apologizing I will take it. It certainly served to wake me up, at least.

I have some small regret because the Grants birthday gacha started today, and if I’m focusing my energy on the event then I can’t really earn orbs from missions. Oh well, back to the grind.
