Larry Lizard and the Zircon Aardvark: This is my Original illustration of my OC, Larry Lizard collecting a gem treasure/statue of a Zircon Aardvark that Larry Lizard as an Adventurer/Treasure Hunter had found on an uncharted island and had the best of his life since he found that Zircon Aardvark statue/treasure, I have spent four months working on this illustration around my three days work schedule as an employed art student at ECF since I started multitasking between a Coffee mug of Larry Lizard I’m still currently working on and the Larry Lizard illustration of my OC that I had just finished drawing, and the reason I decided to make my OC-Cartoon Lizard’s belly purple like the purple highlights I Draw and color around his black skin is because I realized that there is no point of keeping his belly white since Larry Lizard doesn’t look like a 1930’s esque Black and white Cartoon animal anymore, because he looks very modern, the way I draw him now and then, and I decided that Larry Lizard is now an anthropomorphic Black Girdled Lizard with purple highlights inspired by Ultimate Spider-Man’s Venom, and I draw Larry Lizard with an Eastman and Laird’s TMNT/Sonic hybrid art style nowadays, and the inked gray tones I drew were a whole lot of work I always like to say now and then as I said once or twice nowadays, but this time it was a serious whole lot of more work than usual, I was drawing gray tones like both the creators of TMNT and the creators of Cerebus the Aardvark, I drew the screentoned crosshatched ocean like how the Cerebus Background/Gray tone artist: Gehard used blend in screentones with crosshatches back then while Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird painted in the grayscale Watercolor crosshatches known as Duo shade which I still enjoy drawing the replication of that phenomenal style of the Mirage TMNT into my artwork by hand, mixing manga screen tones and western B&W indie styled crosshatches with watercolor to look like my very own Authentic Duo Shade visual Style is a whole lot of work but it is still very rewarding I always like to say, and I hope you folks like what I made here today?
Larry’s head anatomy & angles remastered: this is my digital sketch of my Original character: Larry Lizard drawn by me: Blake Andrew Roten in my Mirage TMNT-Dreamkeepers cross inspired art style, I’ve been drawing my Original Character for nearly 7 years since September 2011, and I never could get the angles and proportions of the characters I’ve drawn over the years get drawn right, and now I’m getting the hang of understanding angles and proportions after all these years, and I changed the eye color of Larry Lizard to be Boom Sonic-Blue while I’m still keeping the Ultimate Venom purple highlights on Larry’s black skin, and to be honest it was a bit hard for me to get my Original character’s proportions and angles done right but they sure were rewarding to work on, and I hope you folks like my new angles and proportions of my OC’s head anatomy from this day forward?
Spritle & Larry sketch 3-30-2017: This is My sonic hair styled original character, Spritle Tonaltin with the time traveling ring, and my favorite original character, Larry Lizard with a wink and duo shade crosshatch look, and I also had fun drawing the ink gray tones in those boxes see if I can capture the three gray tones in style, and I have, the pixel look of that crosshatch portal magic is supposed to be inspired by Peter Laird's TMNT comic story, Technofear, which I read on a comic emulating website, and I hope you like my sketch today?
Larry Lizard and the Ruby Rooster: It’s been awhile since I drew an OC Illustration of my Original Characters, my longtime OC: Larry Lizard now has a purple highlighted Snout-Chin these days thanks to my ECF Art Instructor: Jesse Foreman who happens to be an experienced Jim Henson veteran, plus she was the one who introduced me to giving my OC: Larry Lizard his own Snout-Chin design tweak to give Larry’s design more depth of course, plus Jesse and I were inspired by the 2000s era Handsome Male Anthros of the Furry Fandom that used to have those Snout-Chins that gave their attractive male anthropomorphic animal designs more depth to them such as the PS2 Era-Sly Cooper, the 2003 Era-Ninja Turtles, Kimahri the Ronso from Final Fantasy X who has a Goatee Chin too (also Ronsos are a race of horned blue lion like people just in case you’ve either never played FFX to know that world and it’s characters or if you’ve played FFX once but have forgotten the name of that horned blue lion like race that is), back when Jesse Foreman and I were working on remaking my Larry Lizard figurine until Jesse recommended that we give my OC a Snout-Chin, which is what you see now in my OC Art of Larry Lizard sporting that new Snout-Chin tweak nowadays running for his life with the Ruby Rooster Gem Treasure Statuette in his hands along with his treasure hunting adventurer friends: Sparky Sparrow and Anadrew Aardwolf following Larry Lizard as the three of them escape from the Giant Rooster guardian who is made at them for stealing such an ancient treasure, plus I had so much fun drawing that Giant Rooster guardian with the Don Bluth style while also giving that angry giant rooster’s design a mix of Silver the Hedgehog’s would be Sonic Movie Character Design, and the eye design a mix of the Angry Birds and Abe the Mudokon’s blood shot eyes from Oddworld all mixed together for my giant rooster guardian’s design, and he has sharp teeth too like the hilariously edgy Eagle Fang logo design I saw years ago in the middle seasons of Cobra Kai. So I hope you folks like my OC Illustration this year of course.
Team Crystar and the Gorilla Garnet: Those three are my Treasure Hunting Adventurous OC Trio: Larry Lizard, Anadrew Aardwolf, and Sparky Sparrow, being chased by a Palm Tree/Goku hairstyled Gorilla Guardian (because the Dragon Ball Hero: Goku has that Palm Tree like hairstyle too of course) who has been guarding that Gorilla Garnet gem statuette for hundreds or thousands of years, and I know I drew the Gorilla Garnet Gem Statuette and Goku Hairstyled Gorilla Guardian in the Donkey Kong style, but that’s mostly because its a much more fun style to draw gorillas that way, I probably could’ve tried the Disney Gorilla Design Style from Disney’s Tarzan to draw one of them that way in retrospect, but hey I grew up around the Donkey Kong Franchise in my 90's Childhood and I’ve always been a big Donkey Kong fan for like a very long time, despite having transitioned from my SNES to my PlayStation Journey over the years, I still stayed in touch with some Nintendo Franchises especially the Donkey Kong franchise in Nintendo Handheld Consoles, and I still love that red necktie attired ape after all these years. I have two illustrations and two sketch portraits that I forgot to share on my social media platforms like two weeks ago but I hope you folks like my OC Illustration I did this year anyway of course.
Team Crystar’s Dr. Livesey-Meme March: These are my OCs of the Treasure Hunting Adventurer Trio, Team Crystar (whose names you can now see on top of those 3 framed portraits of course) drawn in my main style in their default designs whereas the Team Crystar you see doing the Dr. Livesey-Walk are drawn in the Chuck Jones art style that I’m currently playing around with as I just want to explore that art style for fun, I came across one of those Dr. Livesey Meme Walk variant videos I saw on YouTube almost two years ago since August 2022, and I gotta say though, drawing my three OCs with those three stairs like smiles were a lot of fun to draw, and drawing my oldest and closest OC: Larry Lizard doing Dr. Livesey’s walking pose was a lot more fun to draw too imho of course, and I hope you like this momentary Chuck Jones style I drew on my three OCs while doing their Dr. Livesey-Meme March of course.
Larry Lizard’s profile angle Anatomy: it took me a Long Time to figure out how I would draw my Original Character’s profile angle anatomy on his left and right, and finally after almost 7 years of Drawing my Original Character, Larry Lizard in every style of how I tried to draw his profile angle on his left and right in my drawings, I finally found the perfect angles of how I will draw Larry’s head anatomy in those profile angles and back angles, this is what I’ve been missing for how I wanted to draw the angles of my Original character perfectly, this is how I wanted draw Larry Lizard’s head in every angle as a self taught artist of four areas being a Cartoonist, Illustrator, colorist, and occasional animator, and I hope you folks how my Original character’s head will look in the profile angles and back angles of his cartoon head anatomy from this day forward?
