Thank you so much to @larvatuss and @anacdoce for the tags – and thank you for waiting for a response while I dealt with finals.
Edit: Thanks to @astarioffsimpmain for the additional tag!
Choose an OC and answer the following questions so we can learn a little more about them. Feel free to include all your OCs if you want.
Include all my OCs if I want? DON'T MIND IF I DO EHEHEHE
2. Does your OC have any nervous ticks or self-soothing habits?
Diana isn't big on crossing her arms, so when she needs somewhere to put her hands, she rests them on her thighs. When she's thinking hard, she often taps her pointer finger against her thigh.
3. Let's say your OC got kidnapped. What would save them?
Observation, patience, and most importantly, faith.
4. If your OC has a love interest, are they opposite or rather similar?
Astarion and Diana initially look like a case study in the "opposites attract" kind of relationship. Diana puts a lot of trust in her goddess and tends to keep to herself, while Astarion has no faith in the gods and will spill his story if he's given the slightest opportunity. Over time, though, they come to find that they have some less obvious things in common. They're both curious about the world around them, and they enjoy learning new things. They're both hard workers, though it doesn't seem like it to outsiders. And both of them feel like they have to be "on" when they're around others. Astarion is really the first person outside her immediate family with whom Diana feels like she can just be without having to keep a conversation going.
5. Is there a story behind making your OCs? What inspired you?
I got into BG3 when an ex-friend of mine introduced me to Astarion, and before we started our playthroughs she suggested that we take this D&D class quiz to start developing our Tavs. I found this an excellent idea because I didn't know squat about D&D classes, backgrounds, or proficiencies when I got into this fandom. So I started with the lawful neutral human cleric result I got when I took the quiz and gradually built Diana's character from there as I learned more about the world and its lore.
2. Does your OC have any nervous ticks or self-soothing habits?
Leilani's very good at hiding this tick, but when she's on the spot and trying to think of a lie that she hasn't prepared ahead of time, she doesn't blink.
3. Let's say your OC got kidnapped. What would save them?
Obstinance, wit, and a handmade lockpick.
4. If your OC has a love interest, are they opposite or rather similar?
Leilani and her husband Tomás are polar opposites in terms of their personalities. Leilani has some serious wanderlust, and she's often a spontaneous person. Tomás is more of a homebody, and he likes to have a plan ahead of time. The marriage itself is founded on mutual trust and respect – there are things in Leilani's past that Tomás knows about and accepts as part of her without viewing them as detrimental to who she is, and Tomás is one of only two people Leilani allows to "rein her in" because she knows it comes from a place of concern, not a place of him thinking she's too much to handle.
5. Is there a story behind making your OCs? What inspired you?
Leilani came along after Diana. Part of the reason I decided Diana needed a sister to come along on the campaign was because Diana's background and experience are not at all conducive to fighting her way through the wilderness – she isn't weak or stupid, but she is naïve and she just doesn't have the life experience necessary to lead a successful campaign. So Leilani's there to help Diana learn and to push her to do the necessary things she might not have done on her own.
No-pressure tagging @hellethil, @snowfolly, @mutualcombat, @tynithia, and @chaushaus, because I'd love to hear more about y'all's Tavs!
