i love your art, especially your jazz art & characterisation, and i wanna see more stuff about him but im kinda new to the fandom, and finding canon things that are jazz-centric is pretty hard? theres a LOT of transformers media out there to sort through and most stories dont tend to focus on him unfortunately :[

so im here to ask if you have any recommendations for good jazz comics/shows/episodes/movies/literally whatever?

🔷IDW Spotlight Jazz is very good. The art style was sometimes making it difficult for me to understand exactly what was going on but I LOVED the story>:) I mean. At one point Jazz takes out his own internal component and makes a bomb out of it. Peak Jazz performance if you ask me.

🔹Transformers Skybound have a special with him! It is fairly short but VERY good I love it a lot. Can be seen for free here.

🔹There’s Transformers Exodus (a TFP book) which isn’t exactly Jazz centric but Jazz has A LOT of screen time and great thoughtful characterisation in it. Generally I really love him and his friendship with Optimus there. And if you happen to like the book there’s Tranformers Exiles - a direct sequel. 🔷If you’re looking for visual inspiration then I highly recommend Transformers Fall of Cybertron (game). It’s not really about deep character development but THE MOVES! The moves are amazing. The weapons and the choreography of fights and parkour and everything. Jazz does everything with STYLE and I haven’t seen any other tf media that would give him the same “cool movement budget”. Unfortunately there isn’t any service that would sell you that game. You either have to pirate it or watch it on youtube. It is like that in my country at least.

🔷Robots in disguise 2015 has a Jazz episode (season 1 ep 10). The overall style of the show is quite cheap so don’t expect epic visuals. But I think they nailed the swag part very well (separate kudos to them for actually remembering that Jazz uses sound as his weapon. I might be wrong but I think only RiD and G1 remembered to show off his sound blasters which I find to be cool as fuck as a concept ~) ((Can be watched on YouTube for free))

Some stuff I feel like I should mention. I don’t really like them but you might, who knows ->

🔹Transformers Animated have Jazz. And a lot of people love Animated Jazz so you might? Like him as well? . I personally find him being just a boring plain vanilla autobot. Animated Jazz doesn’t really have the same “secret agent sneaky snarky musician killer” thing to him he is doing a very different thing. More of a “worker of the month + ninja” kind of deal. But he is a Jazz and he has screen time. Tf Animated is available on YouTube.

🔷And uh. Hm. Well. There’s comic stuff with Jazz in “Transformers Marvel comics” but those comics are old. I’m talking G1 level of old. They’re cartoony and often very wonky and the characters speak funny. You know what I mean. You’d also have to go to wiki if you wanna know the issues Jazz appears in because I can’t remember them anymore sorry

🔹I heard IDW gives Jazz some kind of personal adventure besides the spotlight. I am not qualified to say if it’s any good or interesting because I never read the entirety of it. At some point IDW started making me angry with how they treated characters development so I dropped reading their tf comics ._. You’d have to ask someone else for guidance here. The screenshots are very pretty though

🔹There are rumours Tf Cyberworld will have Jazz. But that is only based on toy leaks so. Treat it as my conspiracy theory. (I did predict Wheljack showing up with his toy leaks though. I am waiting for Cyberworld Jazz and I am hoping they would make him a complete gremlin) Consider it a mention-prediction lol. There will be Jazz some time later trust /j
