introducing my new creature
Lasair is a brass dragonborn wild magic sorcerer who /thinks/ he's studying to be a wizard but is really bad at it. his spellcasting is volatile and he seems to have really poor control over his magic. in reality his spellcasting is innate and rooted in intuition -- as a result, he was able to breeze through early years of magical education, but now that the theory is getting advanced, he's starting to struggle to apply a non-existent foundation of magical theory to what he's learning. also, he's specifically studying to be a divination wizard, but has no control over his visions / divination spells.
(in 5e, he would be divine soul sorcerer so he can pick spells from the cleric spell list, including augury, clairvoyance, divination, etc.)
personality-wise, he's a bit awkward and doesn't really know how to talk to Adults (even though he is one lmao). he kind of gets around by being the 'little magic man' who on surface level appearance is very disarming and non-threatening (even though objectively as a dragonborn he's kind of a Big Guy). people just end up wanting to help the guy out
experimenting portraits with procreate - gotta draw my danger queen, Lasair
They never saw the precious blossoms fade and turn to cold ashes when exposed to the dawn. They never learned their gift was perceived as a curse, not a trade.

ToX handbook - Lasair's tales
Alright this one is angsty, and I adore it! One of these is a tale told in Katolis, and the other is a Moonshadow elf tale. They're both about the same elf, an unlucky Moonshadow named Lasair:
Taihneford and Lasairlugh for @commanders-sole-braincell! I love them dearly (and you just know I had to draw Harbinger Lasairlugh (GIVE HER A GUN))
Saw a very prettily embroidered quote earlier that read: "Arson? Oh, you mean Crime Brûlée." Made me think of Lasair trying to scold Áed and Áed replying with ^ while filing his nails or something lol.
AHSUAHA YES THAT'S THEM
Áed being like "lmao crime yes haha whatever" while filing his nails is so incredibly on point I should draw it one day
Fashion Lasair and (dad) fashion Ford for @commanders-sole-braincell as a gift because I love drawing friends’ oc’s
I love these disaster twins.
