Coffee Date- Aftermath.
So, we met up at my hotel. I was so nervous I couldn't even press the button to the lift.
I pressed it for the lobby, then I freaked out and pressed floor 2. I got out, freaked out, went back upstairs…then I finally got the courage to go down. I got out of the lift, looked around.
Then I saw them, every fiber in my being wanted to run away. But next thing I know, I am running towards them and gave them a hug. The first 20 minutes or so were so awkward. They released the tension by hugging me again.
We wanted a more private room so we could really talk. My friend that came with me, left so we could.
What happened next really shocked me.
We decided to cuddle, this person.. has been through so much with me, deaths, moves, relationships. The only reason we were never together was the distance, now that wasn’t a factor…we enjoyed the moment. It was beautiful. No talking, just human contact. At that moment, I realized our connection was so strong I didn’t want the moment to end. But it had to, we held hands. (They fit perfectly together)
I explained and talked about past issues and when they said ‘i’m sorry’ the look in their eyes said I’m sorry too. Then… a kiss. I know it’s cliche to say there was fireworks, or something. But there was. At that point I opened up and told them, they meant everything to me. They replied the same way. Our time was almost up. We embraced some more, just enjoying the time. Then the clock struck 12 and we had to make our way out of the room. While holding hands, I walked them to their car…hugged again, and another kiss. It was the hardest goodbye in my life.
I got my answers. It ended on a high note, our friendship basically reset itself and we started a new chapter. I’m not sure what the future holds, all I know is I want them in it.
"I will return again, I will return to you"
