*snatches hearts whatever he had and peojects it onto a different jashling from another jashverse!*

Heart had been laying on his belly on his mattress, furiously scratching at his back. The skin was raw and stingy by the time his eczema was taken away.

He sighed heavily and relaxed into the pillows. "Thank you." He mumbled into the plush fabric.

"Wha-" Heart asked, his fork halfway to his mouth. Then there was an itch on his back and wings. He grumbled and frowned, awkwardly trying to reach around and scratch it. But it was rather useless. What with his wings and thick hoodie in the way.

"Oh what the Hell..." Soul murmured with slight amusement. "Hopefully that isn't contagious. Maybe we'll have to get you a back scratcher." He teased. Mind watched on with a more obvious enjoyment. That enjoyment vanished when Heart stormed off to their cutlery drawer to get their salad tosser. It was rather long and spork shaped.

He walked back to his seat and stuck the tosser down the back of his hoodie to scratch his back. "That's not what that's for..." Mind muttered coldly. Heart shrugged and kept scratching. "I thought you like problem solving." He dismissed.

[I'm projecting my pollen allergy onto Soul]

"What-" Soul sneezed before he could finish, "Why would you do that-!?" His question was accompanied by a wide sweep with both his arms, causing his coffee to slosh over the rim.

In no time at all, his nose was stuffy and his eyes watery. Heart was concerned he had a nasty cold, and Mind refused to go near him on account of Heart's guess.

Heart smiled. It was a tired but grateful one. "Thank you, that means a lot."

"A rare compliment, how lucky are you, Heart?" Mind taunted, bowing down to look his third in the eyes. Heart's smile faded as he maintained eye contact with Mind.

Their stare off was broken by Mind, who turned to face the Anon when complimented.

"Why yes, my body temperature is quite low. How could you tell?" Mind asked, cocking his head to the side.

Heart frowned, "And you call me dense..." He muttered under his breath.

"Thank you very much!" Soul tucked his hands into his pockets, "It comes to me naturally."

...

Both Heart and Mind became still and quiet at the mention of Whole. Upset, they looked to Soul.

Soul looked sudenly hollow and yet so full of emotion all at once. He turned his back to both of them and crossed his arms.

"No." He said firmly. "I-... We-... They are not getting along right now."

The atmosphere was taut with discomfort and heavy with guilt. Both Heart and Mind retreated to their rooms, too discontented to bicker as they normally would.

Mind's hands shot to his own head, immediately pulling a handful of his fine hair straight from his scalp in a fit of anger. A deep, disconjointed growl left his throat. His face turned visibly blue as he tried to restrain himself.

"Get out." Mind ordered in a wavering tone, obviously close to shedding tears in his frustration. "JUST GET OUT! SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!"

*The Whole in our system walks and hugs all of them* -👁️🔸

Mind went rigid at the sight of Whole. Reluctantly, he rose to his feet, and allowed their arms to encircle him. His arms remained limp by his sides. ". . . You . . ."

When Whole made it to Heart's room and entered, Heart was asleep in his 'nest'. He didn't stir at the sound of footsteps, nor when he was hugged. His body was heavy, and limp.

Just as Whole left Heart's room Soul was rounding up the stairs. Soul stilled, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You aren't..." He walked towards Whole. "You're not him." He said firmly, tail slowly swaying, like a cat about to pounce.

"You don't look right." He said in a more mean tone. "Your hair isn't right," Soul started circling in tense strides, "You're clothes aren't right," He came to a stop in front of Whole again. "And your eyes are wrong." At this point he was trying to be provocative. But he didn't get the response he was expecting.

Soul's shoulders tensed when he was hugged, and stayed that way for the five seconds, until he suddenly went limp. He slumped into Whole's embrace and clung onto him. "You're not him, you can't be..." He forced out with a wobbly voice, "I know you aren't..." And yet his once loose hold became more intense, crushing. He didn't want to let go.
