Helllllllllloooooooo folks!!!!!! Tonight is the night before I fly to Berlin, Germany and start my grand 8 week adventure. But first before I can do that, do you even know where I'm going and how long I'll be in each country. Well don't fret no longer, I will list out what my plan is for t he next 8 week and see if I truly follow through with it. 1st week June 11-15 This week I will be in Berlin exploring and finding deaf people. My first three nights I will stay in a hostel as it will give me time to find my fellow deafies. However what I'm mostly looking for is this upcoming Friday June 14! Why qq Because deafies in Germany plus with the European deafies support will congregate and host a huge demonstration or protest against their government for not providing equal access service to their deaf citizens. This will be a huge jackpot for me since I will be among so many cultures and witness their big movement. Awesome huh? 2nd week June 15-23 After Berlin protest on the 14th, on the 15 I will head to Essen to meet a woman name Bettie who will host me at her apt. Cool woman and she's a teacher for the deaf. Hard of hearing herself but very ambitious to learn asl so she can teach her students English through it. Kind of weird to teach English through DGS (German sign language). Definitely wouldn't want the kids to get confuse with an already confusing language. I will stay at her place for five days and visit another city, Cologne, an hour south from Essen. Then once I'm done, zooooooom to Amsterdam!!!!!!!! Will stay there from 21-23, one weekend. Cant wait to meet my good friend Jennifer, who's also staying in AMS solo for a week. we will meet up and explore the city with one another. How fun!!! There is one restaurant that serves soul food and vegetarian food called Eetlokaal TL. This is a brand new restraint that also serve for the deaf and signers alike. It is similar to one French restaurant that I will mention later on. One weekend of partying hard and eating soul food is enough for this chick haha. 3rd week June 24-29 After having a blast in Amsterdam, I will catch a bus from AMS to London for a four day stay. My host is this pretty cool lady name Majella. She's hearing but knows BSL. What's interesting about her is she has a deaf brother but he oral and doesn't know sign. Talk 'bout role reversal here. For four days, I will search for deaf clubs and of course must must must see the Harry Potter waking tour. I may not understand anything they will say but visually it will be exciting whooot!!! From 27th to 29th, I will be in Paris for a short weekend. I will definitely hit the deaf restaurant call Cafe Signe. I went there two years ago from my history class trip to Paris. When I got there there kitchen was close. So now it's my mission to get there and try their fooooood XD 4th/5th/6th week June 30-July 20 These three weeks will be super meeeellllllllllloooooowwww. I'll be heading to Spain to visit two cities, Madrid and Barcelona. First Madrid, I booked a three night hostel near one deaf club that is a member of the world deaf federation. Hopefully I strike some gold and meet some deafies. For the most part, I will be roaming around, hiking at some of their hiking paths and try all the tapas I can get. My friend Kayun told me to try pigs feet when in Spain. For Kayun, I'll try that. Maybe those pig feet will be more tastier than the one made in America. Who knows *shrugs*. 7th/8th week July 21- August 6 These last two weeks I will be in Sofia, Bulgaria for the Deaflympics games. Sooooo excited to root for USA even though I know maybe two or three athletes competing . Whatever... As long I'm there as an America rooting my patriots on, it's gonna be a blast. Pluuuus I'll get to see more familiar faces there. Can't names them all but when I see you there, a big hug will come your way!!! Guess you're wondering where I will sleep. Well I have a good friend name KC who booked an apt for two week for a cheap price! It's a sweeeet pad with a kitchen and a big bathroom. Ahhhh it's gonna be heaven for the last leg of my trip. Totally looking forward to that. On August 5th, I'll fly back to Berlin and stay they night before I head back to the states the next day. This is basically the sum of what I'm hope to do for my trip. For sure I will follow through with my plan. But those who know me well, I tend to flip flop and go off the tangent sometimes. Never know what I will find and tell you. But tonight is my last night at home with my mom and some free grub that I love the most. Mom made soccatash!!!!!!!! It's a beef veggie stew I make sometimes. Anyways wish me good luck and stay tune for more post coming up! Deuces !!!!!!
