I was gifted this old binder from my sibling that was so small on me i had a panic attack and some hurt ribs trying to get it off. I had to cut my way out of it with scissors actually. So I cut it into pieces and turned it into an adjustable corset so I can actually wear it. Veryyy tempted to add embroidery
It's still quite small and it still works as a binder when I want it to. Looks great by itself or over a thin long sleeve blouse for that gothic corset look. It took a while to finish but I'm really happy about it. There's something so gender about upcycling an old binder into something that can be worn again ❤️

[Image ID: four images of a binder that was converted into a corset. The first image is the corset laying flat on a white sewing table, there's two lengths of grommet tape down the middle and some on each side that's more obscured. There's no cord lacing the corset closed yet. The last three images show the finished corset on my dress form. Three different angles. The first is an up front angle showing the front of the corset where there's an opening in the middle with the cord lacing showing. The last two angles show the sides, where there is also lacing holding the pieces of the corset all together. The dressform can be seen peeking through all the lacing. All the grommets and metal details are silver. The lacing, fabric of the binder, and fabric parts of the grommet tape are black. There's some lacing and grommets at the top of the sleeves as well, so that the arm holes are adjustable as well. End ID]
