My name is John Kim, and I'm from fog city San Francisco. Currently I'm shooting with a canon 6d with a sigma 35mm art. My style is more moody. I love photo sets because it lets the audience get a sense of what happened during that day/night while you were doing what you love. When I go out I always have music in my ears so whatever I'm listening to at the moment is what sets up the pictures mood. My only means of media I use as of the moment is tumblr. I deleted my Instagram because it was starting to just be filled with spam accounts and repeative pictures that everybody else has taken. As far as goals I just want to represent my city the best I can as a photographer. This is a hobby of mine so I'm not looking for fame or fortune. I dictionary of people who inspires me. But to name a few is people like Evan Thompson, Ryan Scherer, Adrian Sky as far as local photographers. Then we get into the Annie Leibovitz, David LaChapelle etc etc. I love trying to remix from everybody. Take bits and pieces from everybody else and coming up with something of my own. As of now I do have some projects that I would like to continue. One of them is called "Reality Tv" where I have a hollowed out box tv and I walk around and set it up and try and capture everyday life through it. Photography is one of the most important forms of art. Only because it's instant, it's "live" having the ability to freeze time and share with the world what you just saw is amazing to me.
