It's okay if you need a little help.
I am flipping out over how good Kyle with his cane turned out. By @rageflippedtables! Thank you taking such amazing good care of all my ideas.

If you thought about it, then life was nothing but a singular long-ass chain of To Dos. Sure, most of them were going to be harmless, like eat this apple, or close your eyes and don’t move for six to eight hours, but you couldn’t coast off those forever. Eventually there’d be the obligatory hold in this fart, and sit through Uncle Neil’s boring-ass holiday slides for the 5th time, and, not to forget, the deal with the aftermath of fighting off ten plus Church lackeys while side by side with a pack of fucking Vollies.
Ergo: Holy shit, was Kyle’s To Do list stressing him out or what?

The unthinkable had a habit of muting the world. Even if—deep down—you’d known it’d been quite thinkable and not anywhere near as preposterous as most anyone liked to tell you. ‘There’s no way Harran will happen again,’ was wishful thinking. Denial. And Zofia hadn’t ever partaken in any of it. Instead, she’d waited. Day after day she’d expected to be proven right. Night after night she’d slept uneasily, knowing come morning, there it might be. A year had passed. Then another. And another. Maybe after four she’d have been alright? Accepted that Harran and its horrors were only ever meant to happen once in someone’s lifetime? Not twice? Well. So much for that.

I'm terrible at being proud of what I do, especially in public, but:
📣 HAPPY 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY to the (ongoing) Dying Light: Latchkey Hero fic series!🧡🏗️
Writing Progress Check in!
Monsters, We. has now officially surpassed the first Latchkey Hero trilogy in word count.
In other news, Monsters, We. is nearing completion.
And I have barely enough pages left in this one to squeeze in the last chapter + the two epilogues. Perfect.
This happened today.
Dying Light: Monsters, We. Character Spotlight!
Kyle Crane & Aiden Caldwell
Two of our protagonists. One is a man who's been giving everyone he's met in Villedor since his arrival a headache, and the other is currently being relentlessly bullied by the narrative.
AAAH I finally have a custom outfit for Kyle; it's only been like since 2016. All thanks to @lord-nichron <3
You can read Monsters, We. on Archive of Our Own. It's in its second season already.
