like i get. the crossdressing with giroro is very much a gag to belittle her masculinity and seriousness abt her job. but she doesnt necessarily hate the feminine presentation herself + sometimes even does it on her own accord. shes only rly shown to hate it when in front of other people and/or done without her agreeing to it. which. is understandable to me since imo she's semi-closeted and that strips her further of the little autonomy she has.
her transition, in my mind, is her reclaiming that autonomy that her father and the military didnt let her have (can be paralleled to her autistic traits as well being that she was really passionate about trains [on the nose isnt it] and wanted to be a conductor as a kid, but eventually had to choose being involved with the keron army due to familial and societal expectations)[referencing that one episode of giroro selling that energy drink. i know a lot of it is faked for dramatics as explained in the end but i feel there is some truth to it beyond the superficial aspects of that commercial]. giroro's family was very much involved with keron operations, so even from the start, giroro knew she had little options outside of the "family business". Being young, she attributes her feelings of solidarity with the women in her life to just being respectful and "a man's duty". (ergo: when young keroro starts acting weird/ straight up mean towards young pururu, and giroro corrects him).
even post-transition, not a lot changes about her, as those experiences molded her into who she is now, and cannot just be easily shed off. shes still the hot headed corperal that is very stubborn about her work. she has the same scars and injuries that shes unwilling to hide. shes still giroro, but happier.
