He was just about to see himself out ( and promptly home ), when he felt the tap on his shoulder. It's almost comical how he turns on his heel, and meets crimson with a small, curious smile. His mouth opens slightly as if to ask what he needed, but shuts it before he can as soon as he sees the heart shaped box.
Ah. He'd honestly forgotten what day it was...
" For me...? " a hand over his chest, as the other accepts the gift he's been offered. Of course he likes chocolate- who doesn't? But he supposes there is more weight, and intent behind this than just... being a gesture of good will. It has him pausing, looking to the box, then back to Crimson. No no, no outward assumptions.
But he does think on how good they'd probably taste with the bourbon he has in his office. " Thank you- I... well I didn't even realize the date! " Ash knows already that Crimson will insist he needn't worry about it. But he's already concocting in his head ways to make up for it. Later. When he has time... and maybe a bit more. Money. " I'll be sure to enjoy these. " said with a slight cant of his head. " See you... soon? "

I know.. you sent this in a little ago...guess I wanted to see if you’d respond to mine first ‘r not, but...heh welp. What can I say? You’re..special. You know you are. I also know you won’t make any response on this, because.. lbr. You can’t. Haha. So I can pretty much say what I want..right? That when I’m with you..I feel special. I feel like..I mean something. Curious sun in the sky cast no shadows. There would be no hiding from the brightness or the heat that bared down. Drake sprawled out on a park bench in the Golden Ward. It would be curious to see how the weather would change in this city. The chill of ‘winter’, at least in this ward, was hardly noticeable. For now, she could enjoy the warmth on her skin and the cool touch of a bottle in her hand. A plastic bag next to her had her lunch, but she willfully ignored it for dessert: the small tub of gummy worms. She sprinkled some in her mouth. Birds chirped in the distance.
