The Presbytery of St Albans Cathedral - The Late Gothic high altar screen was erected in 1484. The statues were removed after the Reformation and were replaced in the late 1800s. The irridescent altarpiece of Christ’s resurrection is by Sir Alfred Gilbert who also designed the ‘Eros’ statue in London’s Piccadily Circus. Photos by Charles Reeza.
