Defused Deconstruction Restruction
I have been looking at the trends happening right now and the 'hooped' earrings are really in right now. I'm sure you are thinking that by in your day so were they. Well I guess they will trend every year but as I sit here and type - its BIG!
I reconstructed my Deconstructed earrings, not by changing the style so it does not lose its essence but by just elongating the hollow rectangular earrings twice the length and making the plate thin enough to allow for the extra length. I however did change two design features - making one rectangular thicker on one side and by pulling the ends to cross on each other right at the end soldering it.
I changed the earrings to become bangles for a younger youth. I guess we forget that children wear jewellery too and try aim for the pockets and desires of the customers that work for a living. I am just making my target market smaller.
These are bangles that can not be re-adjusted. Their wrists must be small enough to fit their risks but just right that is does not fall off. I have not really considered this target market and I am happy for them to wear it.
