* MORALS ; akane does have them. they’re pretty loose, but they’re there. he very strongly believes in the importance of a human life, & as such, he’d never go as far as committing murder. utilizing violence & various methods of manipulation are a completely different story, however, as he’s able to go through with both without much thought, for the sake of someone he cares about ( & very rarely himself ). ‘the end justifies the means’ applies to him quite well, to some degree. another thing is that akane will never go against someone who’s innocent, although ‘the scale of innocence’ is completely up to him & his opinions on the matter. he can also be a huge hypocrite ! as in, he’ll criticize others on their methods/actions, & then turn around & do the exact same.
* CHILDHOOD ; while it was relatively normal, many of akane’s issues actually stem from it. lack of proper interaction with people ( as his parents were extremely busy & he was the only child ) led to him having a hard time connecting with others on a deeper level. his parents were almost constantly working, & left him in the care of friends/relatives, none of which had an outstanding relationship with akane. at one point, he was left with aoi’s family, who were on good terms with his parents + they lived next to each other -that’s when he made his first friend ! however, even then, he considered his shallow relationships to be the norm & continued to be that way up until he got older -basically, he believed that only aoi’s friendship was enough for him.
