                         thickets of pine trees surrond them as they walk down the unlight forest path. ever since those few short years ago, where she narrowly escaped with her life in tact, momoko finds herself feeling uneasy being in congested forests. plains and open spaces were her new favorite places to be, after all, it felt less suffocating that way. in these types of places demons can lurk, and unforunately duty calls, even after their mission has finished. what if something happens before they reach the wisteria house? she’s still learning that new breath technique, and naturally she had sabito’s training to fall back on... but.. 

                        it’s still scary, nonetheless. looking up from the ground, momoko sees her partner’s back just a little too far ahead of her and feels her blood run cold. she panics, then jogs forward to catch up to him. 

                        “ k-kikyo-kun! ”

                        hastily her fingers pinch at the end of his haori, halting his movement ease. then she steps back, shyly cusping her own hands together.

                        “ u-um... please.. don’t walk too far ahead of me. it’s b-better if we stick together here.”
