#tbt My first @chicanobatman show was October 2011 at @eraartbar in #oakland (which I also designed the poster for). FFWD to last night: @val3000 invites me to @lacma for a @pstinla commissioned show with #chicanobatman performing new music inspired by the #LACMA exhibition, #PlayingwithFire: Paintings by #CarlosAlmaraz...and it was kinda euphoric. Visuals by one of the most pivotal figures in the #chicanoartmovement reimagined by a band crafting, preserving and reinventing #latinpsych...I was in #brownart heaven. I also learned that Mr. Almaraz's birthday was Oct 5. I'm happy to have been in a place celebrating his spirit. Thanks again for the invite, Val!
