Having started CR during campaign 2 and now watching campaign 1, I desperately want to see the character development and camaraderie we got to see so transparently in campaign 2. But I love both for different reasons! bothisgood.gif
I can understand that, going back to campaign 1 from C2. For me, it was great at the time to have an established story to jump into because they felt comfortable with it, and it felt engaging because of that. Like, you have to realize back then the audio was shit (it’s been remastered since), streams were wonky as fuck, people were in and out.. not just Ashley. And there was the slow disintegration of Orion’s relationship with the show and the cast.
So I always thought it was nice to have this one constant, which was the fact that we basically knew Vox Machina, and they were all a group working together for the same goals and ideals. For the most part.
But that said, the building of M9′s relationship is great, and it’s been fun to watch. I’m just fucking impatient and was super spoiled being privy to certain elements of VM’s backgrounds so for a long time I wanted to reach through the screen and shake Liam like “BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO CALEB!?!?!?!!?!?!?”
Of course then he told us and I wish he hadn’t. So really there’s no winning.

I was super against her re: the plagiarism business but got conned by a friend into watching Shadowhunters… it’s not bad but I hate myself every time I watch it
I do want to preface: if people read the books, or the watch the show, and enjoy it. I’m not judging anyone for that. You take your enjoyment where you can, guilty or otherwise.
I personally just don’t wanna go there. And I’m kinda sad about it, because Magnus Bane sounds like my kind of character. Like insta-love. But I just can’t bring myself to look past Cassie Claire.
I think she and EL James both particularly piss me off because I have written novel length AUs in fandom. I have things that I could conceivably publish, but it’s technically fanfic. Which has a shitty connotation already, and neither of them helped that. Because both of them blew up and have fanfic attached to both their names, and they’re both plagiarists to some degree.
And that’s something fanfic has to worry about regardless if people are lifting entire paragraphs or sentences from someone else’s work.

This plotline is so annoying. It’s not even that it’s bad. I can handle bad, but I really hate Katherine and I hate Nina when she plays Katherine. And I literally cannot wait until Nina leaves the show. WHEN SHE DOES LEAVE THE SHOW!?
But then I care about the other characters. Damon amuses me. Stefan has grown on me a lot. CAROLiNE IS MY PRECIOUS BBY. Bonnie is bamf. I just want Matt to be happy.. that poor boy deserves happiness.
