Breaking news. Our sweet lovely little nervous nelly Lily Blossom was denied her annual anesthetic teeth cleaning today. Boo. At nearly 8 years old, we discovered she has a heart murmur!!! Instead of a cleaning, tomorrow we return for an echocardiogram. And the good times keep coming. 😂✌🏼#LaughToKeepFromCrying It was a bit of déjà vu to February 2019 when Rufus was denied his dental cleaning and we had to find a specialist. This heart murmur is a first for our pack, so please share your experiences below. I was at Target last night & saw a woman w/a mask & gloves on walking swiftly to the self checkout aisle. I coughed one of those hacking coughs (bc my throat was so dry & I’m slowly getting over a cold) & several people turned their heads to look warily over at me. The masked lady looked almost frantic & began ringing up her items more quickly. I wish I could reassure them there’s nothing to fear, that the rona isn’t going to wipe out all of humankind. I wish I could tell them I get told at least once a year by my nephrologist that I’m going to die if my immunosuppressed ass catches the flu yet I keep refusing the flu shot & I’m still here. 🤷🏽 . It’s the fear, trauma of repetition especially by the constant media coverage (Turn off the TV for at least a day PLEASE), & the belief that destabilizes us more than anything. Laughter is not bold, it soft like a kiss. It makes you happy when you are at your lowest. Some heroes can laugh even at their untimely deaths. But what do you find funny at times like this?

Personally, I find many things funny, a comedian telling a joke, a fight that broke out over something so silly, even a baby saying its first words. Many things can be considered a funny, but it takes a good laugh to heal the pain.

Now, as I laugh at myself for sporting a short sleeve shirt in the winter, I hope that you find some joy in this reading.
