Datura flowers are poisonous and short-lived in real life and capturing their twisty, spiky, silkiness in paper was a challenge...but so much fun. Getting the shaping and coloring right on the leaves (especially those telltale purple hazy stems) was tricky! . I love how the pale pink of the stamens, the ombre on the white tulips and the blush on the other tulips all tie it together while letting the bright, showstopping nature of the datura blooms keep the focus. .
