It doesn’t speak Alternian at all, and in fact it hates the new ally ship with Alternia and thinks it will cause nothing but trouble. It keeps that to himself though.

It is 1000% devoted to the Remour family, it has no interests in quads or anything else but its responsibility as the Monarch’s personal guard

It hates all of Erik’s friends, but it hates his matesprites the most because it sees them as a threat to the royal bloodline.

Changing Laukta’s last name to Remouraeknek because I changed how ownership suffixes modified people/place nouns. 

Its last name was always meant to mean ‘Of the Remour’s’, -aek making Remour plural and -nek being the dative genitive case meaning “of the [noun]”

was there anyone before laukta like going further back in the royal line? also has this been all its ever done like since conscious thoughts lol also also has there ever once been any close calls lauktas had while guarding

Laukta is the first of its own bloodline to be affiliated at all with the royal family. In a positive light at least. Laukta's family were prominent anti-monarch conspiracists. When the rest of its family were being tried for their crimes against the royal family, everyone was supposed to be executed.

The reigning king at the time of the trials(4 generations previous to Erik, haven't given him a name yet lmao) made the decision to not execute Laukta who was around 4 sweeps at the time. He planned for Laukta to react the way it did to being spared and basically raised it to be the perfect, unrelenting guard dog. And holy shit was he successful at doing so.

It spent over 90 sweeps before being given the position royal guard basically being repeatedly tested for its loyalty and ability to make its own decisions when given no strict orders. So while being indebted to the Remour's isn't all it remembers, it doesn't even acknowledge its early childhood and doesn't mention that it ever had a family to begin with. It requested all records of its connection to them destroyed once it became a guard.

As for close calls? None. At all. While it's mostly seen welding its axe, it's an experienced marksman and with an extremely sharp eye. If it's not seen within 20 feet of Erik out in the open, it is Watching. Have there been assassination plans and attempts? Oh yeah. But none of them were anywhere near resulting in death to be considered a close call.
