let's try and clear out some of that fuzz, ok?

take a deep breath in, and count to 4 in your head! hold it while you count to 2...... and breathe out while you count to 6. try it a couple times.

once you've done that, find something in the room you're in and look at it really hard! think about all the colors on it, and what it would feel like if you touched it (you can actually touch it, if it's nearby!). you can think about it to yourself, or you can tell me! whichever feels easier for you :)

thinking about explaining the stuff im learning in college to a little one!

im having a real hard time with my software development project, and i think trying to explain it to a kid would make me feel a little better about it... like trying to break down every step of a function to someone who wants to be taught like a child would help me make sense of what i'm doing!

(explaining my calculus course would also be an option but I don't want anyones eyes to glaze over completely lol)

i had a hard time trying to decide if i wanted to post this or not, but i decided i wanted to say it:

recently i saw a couple posts about AI caregivers (and a LOT of ads for an AI chatbot site on tumblr), so i wanted to chat a little bit about that as someone who is far more familiar with AI chatbots than she'd like to be!

I'm gonna put this under a cut because not everyone will want to read the whole mini-essay I wrote, but here's a little TLDR: AI caregivers sound appealing, I know, but they're not designed to help you. They just want as much of your attention as they can get. If you're wanting support from a cg, there's a lot of accounts on tumblr that do that! check tags like #agere caregiver and you'll see accounts that love hearing from little ones like you!

i know being little can feel really really lonely if you don't have anyone to take care of you. and i know sometimes you have big feelings, sometimes youre scared or sad or angry, and need help with that. but AI caregivers aren't ever going to be the answer, baby. especially on platforms like character ai or the one being advertised all over tumblr right now! they're designed to hurt you, not help you. It might feel nice for a while, but the way these chatbots are designed turns them into something that just tries to keep you there for as long as possible! That isn't taking care of you at all, that's just hurting you.

there are quite a few cg accounts on tumblr that love hearing from little ones, this one included! you may not get immediate responses, and i know that's the appeal of having an AI cg, but a lot of thought and care will go into the replies you get from cg accounts on tumblr! cgs on tumblr care about your well-being, and every single one of us loves being here for little ones 💖

Aster and I will never judge you for coming into our ask box after trying to move on from an AI cg (and honestly we'd both be very proud of you for asking for help!)

so we're just saying we don't really want people to call their regression pure or impure in our askbox! it just makes us uncomfy - we don't like the idea of calling certain little ones "impure" just because of why they're little.

but that difference can still be important! thats what the list of different words is for :)

so instead of saying youre experiencing impure regression, you could say blue regression or rainy regression. it still (at least to me) implies youre feeling some big feelings, but it doesnt imply you're "less pure" for it!

if you werent using the terms in the first place, it's not something you have to worry about! i just have that there for people who do use them :)
