what do we think is it grace’s hand in the teaser? is it her tombstone?

That's sort of what I'm thinking too, anon! It would make the most sense to me, at least. Nearly all the other major deceased characters that we know of had funeral pyres, but Grace likely didn't so she probably has a proper grave somewhere. And I could see her/her hand appearing for all sorts of reasons (a dream, hallucination, Tommy dying 😭, etc.)

EDIT: The only thing throwing me off anon is that the hand in the trailer has a ring on their middle finger, and for some reason I don't think Grace would wear a ring there. (It would make more sense for her to have her wedding ring on, no?)

i will never get over or forgive Lizzie dropping bullets on her suicidal husband as he drowns in the very mud that haunts him in his nightmares he was not the perfect husband and she was not the perfect wife but she chose him knowing all of his demons I wonder when he disappears if she feels any guilt at all

That was the moment that she lost me completely. I was never really a fan of hers, but up to that point I was trying to like her and see things from her perspective. The bullets scene was the moment where I pretty much went, "man, fuck this woman" and I've been disliking her more and more with every rewatch ever since.

And it drives me crazy how this moment is celebrated so often in the fandom. I get that Tommy was a crap husband to her, but I really don't think he ever did anything to her that was as awful as that. And all this after she essentially told him earlier in the season that she doesn't give a shit if he dies or kills himself. Again, Tommy was a bad husband, but Lizzie was just as awful of a wife towards him, and she gave just as good as she got when it came to hurting him. And it drives me up the wall that people instead like to act as if she was this poor little perfect wife who never did anything wrong.

I really wonder how she would have felt if he had actually shot himself after she threw the bullets at him and taunted him to try again. Frankly, I don't think she would have cared. But then again, I don't believe that Lizzie ever actually loved Tommy. Because I can't conceive of anyone doing something like that to someone they love. No matter the circumstances.

plssssss tommy getting self-conscious he’s going grey and tries to hide his chest hair unconsciously and lily is not having it 🤭 so she needs to worship him so that he can embrace all the grey going on

He gets so shy about it at first. He's already such a mess emotionally at the time, so his self-esteem is at an all-time low. He's worried that she isn't going to like it. That she'll think he looks old. He already feels like he's failed her because she's out there, in the middle of nowhere, alone save for him and Johnny Dogs, because of him. He's terrified of losing her, but there's also a large part of him that feels like he doesn't deserve her (NOT true). And when his hair starts to turn grey, it just feeds into those already existing insecurities.

He starts avoiding taking his shirt off in front of her. During sex, he just pretends to be so desperate for her that he can't bother to get properly undressed. At night when getting ready for bed, he claims that he's chilly which is why he's started sleeping in his henleys when he's almost always slept shirtless in the past. He's strategic to keep his back turned towards her when getting dressed in the morning so she can't see his chest hair.

That works for approximately one day before she starts getting suspicious. She figures out what's wrong when she finds the hair dye that Tommy insisted Johnny Dogs buy him on his most recent trip into town, but has yet to try to use.

Cue her doting on him the rest of the day. Hugging him from behind while he's sitting at his desk, pressing kisses into his greying hair. Plopping herself down into his lap at lunchtime, kissing him, running her fingers through his hair, and unbuttoning the top few buttons of his shirt until a tuft of his chest hair sticks out and she can nuzzle at it. And when night falls and she draws him to bed to make love, she smiles gently when he tries to stop her from unbuttoning his shirt, and tenderly coaxes him to please let her see all of him.

She spends almost the entire night worshipping him, and by the end of it he's practically in tears with how loved and wanted he feels.

After, she lays her cheek on his chest, fingers coming up to stroke through his hair. And she makes him promise never to dye his hair. Because she loves him exactly as he is. He's her beautiful silver fox and she wouldn't change a thing about him.

She's pretty constant with the love for his silver locks after that. Lots of nuzzling at his chest every chance she gets. Since it's just them, she'll sometimes wander up to him, pop open a few buttons on his shirt until his chest hair is poking out, and give it a little kiss. And then she'll pout at him if he tries to button back up again. She'll also give his hair lots of kisses, or just run her fingers through is almost unconsciously whenever she gets the chance.

He eventually decides that he's alright with the grey hair. Especially when his wife gives him scalp massages while he lays his head in her lap or on her chest.

I might have to turn this into a full fledged fic when I finally get to the movie stuff in my new series. 🤭

I said this before, but she's sooooo snuggly.

She loves to curl up in Tommy's lap while he's writing. Or cuddle up to them when they're laying on the couch together.

Also loves being carried around the house by him or Lily.

She's almost always in the same room as them.

I don't think that Tommy can bring himself to scold her. Even when she knocks his stuff off of his desk or makes a mess. He's the pushover of the two of them, and she knows it.

Very playful.

Likes birdwatching from the windows.

Head of Rodent Control at their house.

Tommy was too anxious about her getting hurt or killed by letting her wander around outside unsupervised, so they eventually decided to keep her only indoors. She adjusted to the change surprisingly quickly cos she likes being around them so much.

They did leash train her, so sometimes they'll take her with them on walks around the grounds.

She and Johnny have a very funny dynamic. Johnny is a little scared of her cos of his superstitions. Meanwhile the cat just wants to make new friends.

She is protective of her people, though. If you upset Tommy or Lily or are someone they don't particularly like, she will not try to be your friend.

Hissed and tried to scratch Kaulo when she came to the house.

Trouble is more standoffish and independent than Paz. So her parents will often wait for her to come to them for cuddles and attention than the other way around.

Trouble likes to walk on Tommy's desk when he's working and will try to knock things off of it. This usually ends with him picking her up and sitting her in his lap while he works.

Both cats can sense when their parents are upset, and will try to cheer them up. Paz will try to get them to play and will alert Tommy or Lily that the other is sad about something. Trouble will climb into their laps to try to comfort them.

Trouble always steals Tommy's pillow when he gets up in the morning. It's warm.

Paz will follow his parents--especially Lily--from room to room.

Paz struggles with being left alone for long periods of time, so Tommy and Lily will sometimes take him to work with them. He's very good and chill at the office.

At night the cats usually sleep in their cat bed or cat tree. But if Tommy or Lily is away for the night, they'll climb into bed and cuddle with their remaining parent.

Trouble can be temperamental, but Tommy is actually quite good at being able to tell when she's had enough. She likes being around him and will often just being chilling in the same room as him, even if not sitting in his lap.

One time Tommy went to the washroom in the middle of the night to find Trouble sleeping in the sink. He thought it was hilarious when he turned the water on and she went careening out of the room with a yowl. Trouble was not amused.

Both cats like to bring Tommy and Lily the mice they catch. As a little treat.
