Inspirational Illustrators *2 of 3*
Before I started creating my own illustrations I decided that I would make mood boards based around three different illustrators that has an art style that I like. The second illustrator that I chose to create a mood board about was Laura Laine.
For this mood board I created look kind of gothic and very dark and spooky because that is how I see Laura Laine's illustrations. On the second photo I have drawn then bottom of the garment in the style of Laura Laine and then i stuck on the original illustration on the top so that the end illustration becomes one. One the first page of the mood board I have drawn a full copy of Laura Laine's illustration so that I can practice her art style and make the mood board a little more creative and interesting to look at.
After creating a mood board about Laura Laine's art style, I decided to add my own little twist onto one of her original illustrations.
To create this illustration I decided that I would keep the same outline of the original illustration but add colour to the illustration and include less detail by using a different media. I do not think that the media that I decided to use compliments the illustration very well but if I had not done this illustration in this way I would not have know as much about the textures and the feels that different types of media create. I still gave the illustration a mysterious and dark feel to it by adding dark fog around the bottom.
Once I did this I used the same dress I used on the illustrations but created it using the art style of Laura Laine.
Even thought the dress would be too colourful to belong in an actual Laura Laine illustration, I think that the outfit fits in well with this certain art style.
