About Laura Payne
Laura Payne is a visual artist from Guelph, Ontario, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction from the University of Western Ontario, where she focused on painting, printmaking and video. Her paintings and videos have been exhibited widely throughout Canada, at venues such as the legendary Gladstone Hotel, the Interaccess Electronic Media Arts Centre, the Toronto Urban Film Festival, and multiple Nuit Blanche events. Since arriving in Baltimore in 2011, Payne has exhibited at many venues around the city, including her first American solo show at School 33 this past Fall. Payne will receive her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art this Spring. She continues to exhibit in both the US and Canada.
