Sorry to everyone who wanted it to be Laura. A huge part of me did too. We hopefully haven’t seen the last of her yet though…
This was a totally new save file, so the versions of Daya and Alaina in here had no romantic history saved at all. I was really surprised at how quickly they were drawn to one another.
I now have to get my save files organised, which I won’t have time to do until the 17th…so until then, I’ll be posting the Moody Legacy.
Thank you for all your replies on my new story guys, it makes me really happy to see you’re all getting invested into the characters and have started to pick favorites etc.! Some of you will be really happy soon, others disappointed, it makes me super excited for the future chapters to be released and to see all your reactions again haha! We’ve got two good ones coming up today actually that should stir up some of you ;).
Also, I’m going to my parents house for 3 weeks tonight. Hopefully my dad can fix my pc and then I can start posting chapters for my other stories again as well. I will give priority to the Avesnes Aristocracy over the Robinson Challenge, but I’ll try to fit it all in.

It definitely isn’t! But if Yasmine wants a salon, she’ll have to build one herself that’s how the colony works! :P. Maybe one of Violet’s future children will be kind enough to place and buy one e.e. I’ve actually never tried the stylist career before and I’d love to try it out in one of my games soon.

Actually, some more reasons I like Davey include how he got a cat to make her happy! He would do anything for her! And he is shy, but he comes through for her and on top of that, she gets to see a side of him no one else does because of it. A side that's just for her! It's special. He seems really devoted and generous of spirit. She'd be lucky to have him. Hunter is okay but he's a bit mehhhh in comparison. There's no razzle dazzle there.

I truly love Davey he is definitely one of my favorites! If I may say so myself (since I made him lol), I think he’s got the best genes to hand out and I think mixing his genes with Violet would create some pretty unique and gorgeous sims. I’m not a fan of some of his personality, especially the part where he’s already completely devoted to Violet ever since he first saw her. I don’t believe in love at first sight haha. But I can’t blame him either, considering he’s shy and socially awkward but feels comfortable around her. It’d probably be really hard for him to find someone else if he can’t be with Violet. Though, this should also not be the reason for Violet to pick Davey because that would be wrong! Ugh, choices... I can tell you, I’ve had the worst time picking her spouse and in the end the game kind of decided it for me so I went with it haha. You’ll see soon enough whether you get your wish ;). (Yes I can ramble about my own characters as if they are real people and I totally don’t control them lol).

@goatkibble xD I don't disagree. I also think we've seen a lot more of Davey than we have of Hunter though, so he has unexplored depths, I'm sure. Still... as I said, Davey seems the obvious choice. I'd feel really bad for him if she ended up with someone else. He's clearly already devoted.
You’re definitely right that we haven’t seen much of Hunter yet. Davey already had a journal entry of his own so you’ve been able to see into his mind. Hunter will have one soon as well, so make sure to catch it :). They are very different from each other, though I think they are both great. I’m glad to see that my two favorite choices are reflected in the poll as well.

The bar I use is called the Hidden Harbor Hideaway and I downloaded it from TSR a while ago. Here’s a link! It’s a pretty awesome pub :). I use it in my Avesnes Aristocracy as well as you may have noticed (or not, lol).

Well, Scarlet got knocked up by Dimitri already (typical, the celebrity gets pregnant out of wedlock first) even though they aren’t in a relationship I think, so who knows! I’ll keep my eye on them e.e.

I voted for Davey. :D I think they'd make a good match. They have a lot in common. However, I wouldn't mind Hunter because he's quite the fox. Haha. ;)
Thanks for your vote! Davey is a great choice, and so is Hunter. Actually, all of them are great choices. In my game, Violet has a 100 relation with all of them without me even trying... I didn’t know her set of traits would be so good for making friends! I had forgotten about most of the traits of the other colonists so I just picked something and now I realize she’s a good match for quite a few sims lol.

Phew--I was worried about her and Dimitri after he invited her to a party where, surprise surprise, she was the only guest! That move was a little too creepy for me, personally.
Lol my thoughts were the same. Violet gets an invite to Dimitri’s house for a party literally every single night. She can’t go most of the time because she has to work, but man that guy likes to party! That was the only time she was the only one who showed up though. He immediately did that blow kiss it was such a set up haha!

Haha for me, turning on SP from the beginning kind of gives it a thrill you know. I like the idea that the town is also moving around by itself instead of just around my character. It adds a certain gameplay value and surprise element. I never direct any of my stories truly (of course I think of ideas and work towards them and sometimes I create a little drama to keep things excited, but I don’t think of a detailed storyline before I start playing and I don’t use poses during my gameplay), most of the time I go where the game goes and think of my story along the way. Like when Ferdinand got rejected by Erika in the Avesnes Aristocracy for example.

Well I hope some of the past chapters have made clear she’s not as confident but mostly just naive haha. I mean, I think she’d probably not have the balls to stand up against the likes of Marga, Yasmine or Scarlet. She would probably back off if they asked (just like Scarlet did). But so far she’s been a little happy bird fluttering around town and hasn’t bumped into real trouble yet!

Benjamin is not coming with Madelyn to Aurora Skies. In the first chapter which will be released today it’ll be explained what happened to him. I did consider bringing him along but in the end it didn’t make sense to me to have Madelyn move to a new town and abandoning the legacy while still continuing her arranged marriage. I do have Nraas traveler installed now and have been considering some cameo appearances of her siblings and maybe Benjamin too, but no guarantees! I didn’t save him to my bin (yet).

I hope you will enjoy the new story. I don’t really have a plan for it yet so we’ll have to see where it goes. It’ll probably be a bit more casual than the colony since that one turned into a more serious slice of life story. Knowing me I’ll find drama to write about anyways though e.e.

Yeah the thing is I don’t really make deliberate back ups. It’s more that I put my sims 3 folder on my external SSD once every few weeks when I want to switch between my desktop and my laptop. Unfortunately I had decided not to switch anymore a while back (mainly because switching somehow would undo any custom patterns I used in my game on clothes or wallpaper/floors), so my last back up was from October 31. I’m going to see if I can sync my game folder with my google drive somehow so that I’ll always have a back-up on the cloud.

Well I found a solution in the form of a new legacy but losing 3 stories in one blow really did a number on me inspiration wise so I hope I can find some today to write some chapters.

Thank you! I hope so but I had a hard time thinking of something new for Madelyn. I hope the lepacy theme will help me to create something great again :). It’ll be the first time I’m going to make a lot of use of World Adventures to start with so at least for me it’ll be fun to play haha.

Wow! I have missed the dropping part. I'm still hoping for a happy ending, though! ��
I dropped my desktop twice on the way home because the bag I was carrying it in broke e.e. But that didn’t break anything. The harddrive was already broken before I transported it home. I put a new harddrive in my pc and it works fine now (just have to reinstall windows so my pc doesn’t try to access files that don’t exist anymore).

I’ll let you know that Taylor was going to be voted home next I think in the Robinson challenge, unless he would use the last 2 days of the episode for some serious socializing. And the colony is definitely going to be a regular story!

Well, I can't fault him for loving his dog a lot!! That's always nice, but definitely needs to work harder!
I’m a major dog person myself (though I love cats as well), so I can definitely understand why he prefers playing with his dog all day long over making money haha. It’s hilarious how much he plays with Lao when I leave him to autonomous behavior though. It’s literally all he does all day.

Looks like Violet wasn't so right about Hunter being a strong guy to lean on. At least not financially because he does have some lean shoulders. ;D Them life lessons about to be learned! Muhahaha!
Hunter is very strong he’s athletic! Haha. But really, Violet did not think this through at all. She chose Hunter based on the butterflies in her stomach, but when you choose a life partner it’s not just about that. A few things about Hunter she didn’t know about at all and should’ve known before deciding who she wants to spend the rest of her life with. For example his career ambitions (he has none!). She had this romantic idea of traveling the world with this handsome fella, but then reality hit the both of them pretty hard and money for a vacation is very VERY far away. This also sucks the life out of Hunter of course, because he’s stuck doing something he doesn’t even enjoy and has no view on traveling the world within a decent amount of time.

I’m hoping for some more encounters between Marga and Violet in the future! They have long lifespans so much can still happen. The next few chapters will still focus mainly on finding Violet the right partner though :)

Aww, don’t be too harsh on Violet! Don’t forget you’re reading her journal, not her public announcements haha. It’s only natural for her to consider all of the 7 (yes, there are only 7!) men in town and to evaluate their upsides and downsides because it’s her ‘duty’ as a colonist to marry and have children with one of them! Wouldn’t you do the same if you knew one of these men would have to be your husband at a later stage? ;) She’s definitely not perfect haha but surprisingly she gets along REALLY well with literally all male sims except Jacob lol and I let them interact autonomously most of the time after starting a conversation with them. I can tell you the town isn’t sitting still around her though they are definitely moving in on each other as well which is also why I don’t want her to wander around for too long until most of them already got someone pregnant lol.

Marga definitely has issues! Just as a reminder these are her traits: Evil, Dislikes Children, Kleptomaniac, Night Owl, Hates the Outdoors. She’s going to have a hard time in this colony lol especially because she dislikes children :’D.

Wow.. her second one-night stand pregnancy. I don't think this is an improvement on Erika somehow. Lol I already knew Cassie had a kid at home when she was in the Hidden Harbor Hideaway with Ferdinand and was thinking exactly the same while I was playing out their one night stand: girl what about your boy at home who’s taking care of him? D:. But yeah, I think Cassie is perfect for Ferdinand. She clearly can’t take care of herself or her kid very well and Ferdinand is the kind of guy who would be happy dedicating his life to making sure his wife is happy, comfortable and safe. Cassie is lucky to have found him, maybe she doesn’t deserve him but I’m mostly just glad I have a reason to move Ferdinand out of the house now lol.

OMG, plot twist! Well, good on Ferdinand for taking up for what he did. I don't know how long this relationship will last, but I think he'll definitely be there for his kid no matter what happens. :D
I couldn’t imagine Ferdinand would not take responsibility for his own child especially since he’s been wanting to settle down and have a family for a while already. So even though the situation is far from perfect, I think he’ll be happy this way! As for the other kid I don’t think Ferdinand would have the heart to not accept it, since he knows perfectly fine the kid is not at fault here and just needs someone to love and take care of him.
