Laurel Supply, 8445 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069
Honestly, Laurel Supply is a lot like Erewhon. It’s prettier, but I think Erewhon has better prepared foods and better inventory (but not by much). Laurel Supply didn’t have the items I like to get at Erewhon, including San Diego Tempeh, Canyon Coffee instant coffee, and Sconeage granola. They have fewer smoothies and the sushi didn’t look appealing.
There is a sushi counter, coffee/tonic bar, pizza station (slices are heated for you), gelato station (no yogurt gelato), bakery, hot food and salad (not self-serve), and Laurel Supply juices, snacks, and
All the produce is 100% organic. It’s a full supermarket with flowers, vitamins and supplements, meat, produce, etc. The yogurt selection was good but not better than Erewhon’s. The cheese and pasta come from The Cheese Store Beverly Hills.
They sell Le Zette sheep milk frozen yogurt.
My picks:
Broccoli rabe, organic, $2.99 bunch
2 slices of pizza, $8 each. The slices are huge – like the size of two slices. The crust was thin and soft but not too floppy. The edges were crispy. The meatball pizza with vodka sauce was good. The sauce wasn’t super flavorful. The beef meatballs were sliced. The potato and mushroom pizza was simple and good. You could taste the cheese and veggies. Mr. Froyo thought the pizza was good.
Parking is a major issue in this area. There is a small parking lot behind the store, but it’s all valet parking. An employee told me that they weren’t provided parking.
There is indoor and outdoor seating and it looks like a fire pit.
