Hey Love, I was wondering... are there moments when you are okay with the current range? I mean, You fought hard to get there and you know there are some boundaries that are harder to overcome than others. Could it be a better strategy to accept and keep the current range for noe and focus on your training and overcoming the restrictions/injuries instead? Perhaps that mindset would take off some pressure... just a thought. Love you <3
Hmm, good question! I’d say I’m not happy with the number itself but for how I look and feel ... I’m not exactly happy, either, but for the most part, I’ve been doing much better with accepting my body (still working at the love thing).
I should really lose some more, though, because of the diabetes - right now, my long-term blood sugar isn’t great (just about within the acceptable range), and it takes quite a bit of medication to keep it there. The diabetologist probably won’t be happy with me at the appointment next month - though the diabetes assistant I’m seeing in his practice is generally very supportive, even if I’m not making much progress. So I don’t know if “stopping” to lose weight would go over well in this regard ... (For the record, for anyone wondering, the primary cause of my diabetes is insulin resistance, which is directly linked to weight, so they’re not being fatphobic by telling me to lose weight.)
But yes, thinking about it definitely brings me a feeling of relief, so maybe it’s time to prioritise mental health over physical health, at least for a bit 🤔.
Love you, too, darling 😘.

Is there a way you could track your proteins only in a way that wouldnt annoy/trigger you? Like, you know the macros, you know what the levels should be, but the proteins always seem to me the most benevolent of the things I eat, and I blame the carbs and sugars.
Not sure - mostly, I’m stressed/depressed because of the fact that I thought I had a good handle on my normal nutrition, apart from the binge eating and junk food, and it turns out I don’t ... Though, to be fair, when I tracked on Thursday, protein was close to being enough (I looked it up, and I should get about 95g a day - I had 82g that day), so I should probably think more in terms of reducing carbs and fat rather than upping the protein. Maybe I’ll try to just keep those things in mind and check in sometimes, I can handle counting calories/macros for a day or so 🤷♀️.
I just really wish I could get to a point where I can just see the possibility that I might be able to eat intuitively one day...

I'm absolutely full of unsolicited advice which I'll try to keep a lid on, but I will say this: you are perfect right here, right now. You are more than your weight. You keep beating yourself up and you just don't deserve that. You deserve kindness.
Thank you so much! I’ve been doing better at being kind to myself but it’s definitely still a work in progress 😐.

the hard thing is, that there seem to be so many wrong ways and probably there is not the one RIGHT way, what its right at the moment seems to be constantly changing, making it even harder to grasp. I'm not sure if this is helping in any way, I just wanted to offer some solidarity

And I also know the feeling of basically oscilliating between being super motivated on the one hand, and tired and frustrated on the other, changing my mind every half hour between wanting to concentrate on keeping the weight I have and wanting to loose more

You are not alone. I also have a friend who is with me on the weightloss journey and it goes great for her. And she tells me all about how she didn't even paid that much attention to her eating last week and still lost 1,8 kg, leaving me thinking "great, tell me more about how easy ist is for you"
Thank you! Yeah, it’s hard when you see others “succeed”, and I want to be happy that it’s going well for M and know that her way is different than mine because she has completely different issues with her body and mental challenges and stuff, but especially living together, it’s hard not to compare ... Ah, it’s just difficult. But knowing that others are out there and feel similar definitely helps 🙂.
