Making sure Santa stops at my house tonight and I'm not above bribing him with some champagne to make sure I'm on the nice list. Lemon, pear, apple, and chalk notes on the nose. Very pleasant on the palate if not a little subdued - apple, Meyer lemon, D'Anjou pear, mint, and ginger. Merry Christmas, everybody!

Merry Christmas, friends! I have a new friend as of today and I’m now celebrating with this lovely champers. This is a blend of 60% of 2007, 20% of 2006, and 20% of 2004 - three vintages that go especially well together. I get white flowers, orchard fruit, toasted brioche, almond paste, and ginger notes on the nose. Wonderful structure on the palate with apple, lemon, brioche (both toasted and fresh), and candied ginger. I get blackberry notes mid-palate as well as lemon and salty minerality on the finish. Truly lovely!
