It’s funny the things you don’t realize are regional until you get older.
I remember very specifically being excited every school year to get a brand new pack of Laurentien pencil crayons as part of my school supplies.
They came in this bizarre plastic case that folded over on itself, and they were NOT the greatest pencil crayons... and yet I have fond memories.
It was one of those things that, as a kid, I assumed was the same around the world; every kid got a pack of Laurentiens when going back to school.
But it’s just a Canadian thing it turns out.
