It had been a few weeks now since Skylar had gotten his cast off, and yet the mountain of tasks he had to catch up on hardly seemed any smaller than it had the first day. It had helped at first that the extended stay on Molfaun was something of a vacation - while a lot of his duties had continued as per usual, the general expectation had been less. Especially for him, since Stella was finally trained up on the comms tech and Daphne, Blue and others seemed so keen on him taking a break. The thing about actually following through on those ever-increasing pleas and actually taking a break though, was that he really hadn’t made much of a dent in his to-dos. With no end to their stay on Molfaun in sight though, the vacation vibes of the place had started to wear off. Daphne was stressing about the upcoming meeting with the other pirate captains, and it definitely seemed like leadership priorities had shifted from ‘making sure everyone gets a break’ to ‘making sure everything runs smoothly’ once more - which meant it was time to roll up his sleeves and really get cracking.
All that extra work meant that he was back to spending a good amount of time on The Prosperity again, though he was making sure to take breaks in the Imperial Palace and out on the beach while those outlets were available to him. For now though, he made his way down the ship’s hallway, towards the engineering wing to get some work done - only to very nearly run right into someone. “Oh - hey Laurie! What’re you up to here? Daph got you cleaning?”
