Proper Introduction To Denise: [audition para]

Denise ran a comb through her blonde hair, staring blankly at her reflection of her vanity. She was a pretty girl. She wasn’t trying to be conceited, it was just true. She was a pretty girl. Not smart, not talented, just…pretty.

The other girls of the company all had their own special quirks: Lauren was small and full of energy, always running around and pumping everyone up. Meredith of course had her sense of humor, that girl could make her laugh even if her dog died. Julia had that “queen bee” thing going on; real assertive, real take charge. Nobody would mess with her. Jaime and Bonnie had the innocent thing going for them; real cute and naive— with voices to KILL.

And then there was Denise— she was pretty. She couldn’t sing, the fans of STARSHIP were quick to remind her of that. She certainly wasn’t book smart; she had barely made it out of college. She wasn’t that great of an actress, she could be funny when she wanted to.

So why did her friends ask her to be a part of all this?
