Random Musings Of A Pretty Girl:
Denise stared at her phone. Joey was at Devin's. Grrreeeat. She didn't know why, but Devin was SUPER over protective of Joey-- especially now. However she found out about last night, she was acting like Joey was the last toy on the playground and Denise was trying to snatch him away. That wasn't the plan; not with Joey.
She wasn't even sure WHAT she felt about Joey at this moment to be honest-- she just knew that he made her feel more like a....a person. That sounded ridiculous, even in her own head, but it was true. To everyone else-- her family, her friends, guys she dated-- she was pretty. She was eye candy. She was pretty, and that's all she had to be. Not smart, or funny, or even interesting. It was much easier, for sure. But it got old. Joey saw her for more than that; Just like Bug saw February.
And then there was Jeff.
God, why....WHY did she do that with Jeff? Well, obiously-- because she was a beauty, not brains. She didn't think; and obviously neither did he. He thought she was pretty, and then after he was done with her....well, the unanswered text spoke for itself.
She wished that she could just take it back; she'd made enough stupid mistakes, and she didn't want to screw anything else up more than she already had....
UGH.
She didn't want to think about any of this anymore-- She walked into her bathroom and began running hot water, while scrolling through her iPod stereo. She poured bath salts and lit some candles as the familiar notes filled the room.
You're perfect and wonderful how I'd hoped you'd be.....
