I suffer from almost constant migraines of two different varieties.
The normal ones and the occular ones.
BOTH SUCK BALLS. It’s genetic I think, my biological dad had migraines as well and now my middle son suffers from them too. I don’t know if it’s a genetic mutation (when I said I wanted to be an X-Man I didn’t mean like this) or what, but they’ve been getting worse lately.
Maybe due to the smoke, maybe due to the weather- I’m very weather sensitive. When we lived at sea level I’d get bloody noses when the barometric pressure changed. Now that I live at a stupid high elevation I seem to get migraines instead.
HOWEVER - guys, seriously.
I’ve been adding lavender to my morning tea and it’s helped a lot. Last year I was able to produce growing plants that I harvested and made lavender sugar, lavender honey - hell, I’d add the dried flowers to my drink if I felt a headache coming on. Sadly, maybe due to the weird weather, I haven’t been able to cultivate anything except a tiny bit of cilantro and a little bit of ivy. Like, not even my strawberries have sprouted.
I’m still getting headaches - just a little pressure at my temples and the base of my neck, but it’s helped stave off my migraines a lot. Instead of them happening nearly daily it’s lessened to weekly. Every other week if I’m really lucky.
I am seeing a neurologist this Friday. Finally. After 16 years... hahaha. *gulp*
