8. what is the first book you remember reading yourself?
this is such a good question! I got into reading early, because my first grade teacher could tell I was ready and she gave me the Nate the Great books to read. I don't remember much about them besides the fact that they were the first chapter books I read on my own, but after that I had to join a kiddie book club where we only read the Boxcar Children series, which I hated. Nate the Great was fine in comparison
14. do you ever mark/dogear books you own?
yes! I don’t usually dogear because I almost always have a bookmark on me; my bookmark collection is massive. I do occasionally mark up books, though, just not usually on my first read.
i didnt START this year but im really proud of how much my painting has improved like bitch! im an artiste now!
18. what surprised you the most this year?
how hard school was to be honest like the workload was suuuuper intense
19. do you look different from the beginning of the year?
i think so! i hope so! its def not as dramatic as my years difference has been in other years but id say i look more grown up and my hair is better and my style has way improved

15. did you make any new friends?
yes i made so many new friends from going to college! i was super scared i wasn’t going to be able to find people i could genuinely connect with and i surprised myself so much, im really grateful for all the people in my life now that i met this past semester :-)
16. did you learn anything about your sexuality this year?
no not really, but i did do a lot of reflection about gender and sexuality in general n such
17. what are some hobbies that you developed?
this year i watched a lot of movies and i also got back into reading! im currently reading gone girl + the orchid thief rn
18. what surprised you the most this year?
this year surprised me in the sense that i’ve tried a lot of things or done a lot of things that if you went back in time and told hs freshman year me, i wouldn’t believe you. its small things and big things from getting invited to a party for the first time to playing in lucas oil stadium and even just realizing that even if you’ve been friends with someone for a long time that doesn’t make them a good friend..
19. do you look different from the beginning of the year?
my g-d no i look the exact same except more tired + my hair is longer (but my hair is always generally long so it doesn’t really make a difference) .. i might get my ears pierced or something next semester tho
20. how did this year treat you in general?
this year made me work really hard and think about who i am as a person and what i want in life and im really grateful for that so like . it was rough but i needed that
