Then Dice having a crisis and somehow ends up with Wheezy, happy, and the Devil is just like... 'Fuck.' 'I love that little dice.' 'Fuck, I want him back.' 'Come back to me little Dice.' But Dice is with Wheezy. Laughing with Wheezy. Leaning against Wheezy. Devil catches them kissing in the hallway and quickly retreats to his office to sob about the sudden feelings crashing over him,,

GOD he wouldn’t want to say anything either out of some stubborn pride. To save face or something. And he still makes softly joking comments on his manager’s relationship, because he saw how hard it was for Dice after his rejection, and wants to make sure that they’re okay.

Would he even know that he’s in love??? He’s more likely to attribute it to envy, or lust.

And he sees them together and feels something tug at his throat. He wants to call it jealousy but it’s too content for that. Seeing Dice smile again after weeks of frowns and averted eyes. It’s…it’s something. 

Wheezy was sometimes nervous around him, he could tell. The Devil rolled his eyes and had to make little “shooing” motions in his direction more than once, lazily smiling as Wheezy brought in some food for his workaholic manager and did other gross in love couple stuff in his vicinity. 

He’s taken by surprise as they settle around his desk as well, opening delicious containers and laughing at ink splotches on Dice from all the writing he’s been doing. Wheezy’s bulk on one side and Dice’s familiar warmth on the other as they eat and laugh and banish all strained silences and heartbroken confessions,
