Lavender Clouds was the first story I ever finished, and it took four years. It was built on the basic premise that I thought Hinata was underutilized and thought it would be interesting if she ran away from her oppressive home life and was picked up by the Akatsuki. Writing her sweet personality in contrast to all these colorful criminals is what I live for, and because she had so many friendships with so many characters in this story, it is the main culprit for my Hinata-multi-ship world and list of Akatsuki x Hinata WIPs waiting for me. For those who read it in the old days, Lavender Clouds used to be 144 chapters and over 260k words. (Now 69 chapters and 135k) It underwent a severe rework in early 2023 because my early work had a lot of repeating an entire thought process in multiple chapters and having characters think paragraphs right before having conversations about the same damn thing (and also, the cringe first chapter had been haunting me for years). Updating the chapters on ff.net was a nightmare, and I never want to do it again, but knowing me, I will~.
Lavender Clouds was actually meant to be longer because I don’t know when to stop, but after 4 years, I was tired and just wrote the happy ending.
Does anyone remember when Hinata used to stutter in every line? You don’t want to know how long that took me to take out of 144 chapters back in the day when I decided it was cringe.
In 2016, I was afraid to make it the pairing I initially wanted. If I had done it today, it would have a Sasori x Hinata, not a Sasuke x Hinata, because of the pure SasoHina chemistry, but don’t worry, one of those is coming soon.

This cursed shit started as a joke.
Some backstory on the mastermind: the wonderful Nari started leaving massive unhinged comments on my stories and was the first person to point out to me that they could see where all the other stories were coming from (our lavender-multiverse), and apparently, this all you need to do to be hunted down and be made my best friend, just share brain rot with me.
Anyway. One night while chatting, Nari was drawing Hidan and commenting on the fact that he didn’t have nipples, and that somehow started the conversation of how they liked the dynamic Hidan and Hinata had Lavender Clouds. Hidan was still ruthless and reckless but loosely respected Hinata because he needed to keep her around for his own benefit. It’s like having a bear on the leash. The leash only works if the bear respects it.
After a few nights of scheming, it became less and less a joke, and now it’s available for you to read.

Bread and Tea was born of Wheels. Hinata is forced to retire and is unhappy. Sasuke is retired but has found a new purpose. This one shot was originally a WIP that was going to be a full story with just tweaking the last scene I wrote to an ending. It became cleanly self-contained. Thank you, @kersu, for pulling this out of my WIP folder with me.
This was the only original that got posted for SasuHina Month 2023, other than the snippet of Love Letters that got posted exclusively to my Tumblr.
Funny nugget of info with the old description: a few people thought that Hinata had the bakery, not Sasuke.
Side note: there is something about the forearms of a man who kneads dough. >///<

Death Wishes was not the ItaHina I thought I was going to release first, but after Itachi and Hinata miss each other because of bad circumstances in Lavender Clouds, I have always wanted to write one because Itachi is always a favorite when he is a side character in my SasuHina’s and I thought they deserved their own happy ending. You can all thank @lavendereyedassassin for asking me to make an ItaHina (if I remember correctly because LEA wanted them together in Testing Success) and picking this WIP out of my folder.
This concept may or may not also stem from my obsession with Immortal Boy x Normal Girl K-Dramas like Doom at Your Service, Goblin, and My Roommate is a Gambino.
More ItaHina to come. Death Wishes ending is going to do things to me. Maybe that other office AU I have been putting off. >.>

My office AU. I have a WIP folder full of them. They make sense for SasuHina and ItaHina.
Originally titled Hired for Hell, this story was inspired in part by how Hinata handled political clan conversations in Lavender Sand and Lavender Memories. In true Lavender Clouds fashion, Sasuke doesn’t show up for 15 chapters, making everyone ship Hinata with Itachi and Fugaku ಠ-ಠ (y'all concern me sometimes, but I really shouldn’t judge). I love the trope of assistants becoming god-tier by way of fire. Mix in revenge, another twist on the convince/arranged marriage (hello Lavender Sand), and some villain-rich mom drama, and you have Testing Success.
I did love building the relationship between Fugaku and Hinata and the jokes of all the comments made about Hinata being his favorite child.
I know, I know. I will make an ItaHina office AU soon. I need to stop making him a likable character without a corresponding story to point you to. I will make one.

So remember when Sasuke lost his arm in Lavender Clouds? It happened in cannon too, so I wondered what happened to all those disabled nin. Most nin are only temporarily disabled or are powerful despite their disability, but it still has to be a pain in the ass to do day-to-day stuff without a whole arm. Wheels was dreamed up on that premise: Hinata with a disability that retired her and Sasuke with struggles no one realized because he can still fight fine with one arm, and they find each other.
This one was mostly fluff, and I didn’t want this one to end, but it just naturally did. I cried because I got too attached.

Lavender Clouds’ romance was slow and sad at the time, and I wanted something that was more fluff and snuggles. There are two scenes of Sasuke at his rock-bottom phase in Lavender Sand that I wanted to play with. So Lavender Memories was born of both. Present-day Sasuke is a man already in love, and flashback Sasuke starts at rock bottom and grows to be the loving husband he will be. Best of both worlds.
This story, I think, started my love for needless domestic fluff in between the drama. Lavender Clouds and Lavender Sands had some, but Lavender Memories was what pushed it to become my main writing style. Plot angst with domestic fluff respite.
Honestly, nothing is a bigger turn-on than someone actively respecting your boundaries and doing everything in their power to make sure that you are comfortable. Sasuke just really loves his wife and wants her to feel comfortable and loved, and that is everything to me.
Someone once told me that my stories are angst with the warm feeling that everything is going to be okay, and I think this story was me perfecting that.
Lavender Memories is by far the most popular story I have ever put out, and someday I would like to make a Red Memories with the roles switched. Someday soon, maybe.
The ‘Don’t go. Don’t let me.’ first kiss scene may be the best scene I ever wrote, and I would love fan art of it. >///<
Formatting the italics for flashbacks is the bane of my existence because neither ff.net nor AO3 consistently keeps them from my docs.

With Lavender Umbrellas, I finally got back around to my roots of Akatsuki members x Hinata. In Lavender Clouds, Kisame had an older brother rule to Hinata, but every time they interacted, my heart burst because all their interactions were so cute together, and I am a miserable sucker for height-difference couples and big scary softies. Kisame and Hinata have just so much potential for cute, and Lavender Umbrellas is the peek fluff in all its glory.
This is also the point where I realized I had made Hinata disabled twice now, and now it might be weird if I do a blind!Hinata AU. Maybe one day. ~
This may be my favorite fic just because it's so freaking cute, and writing every scene makes me want to burst.
I loved this story so much that I am going to make another KisaHina soon. Keep an eye out for it.
