"...Happy birthday."
He wondered how she knew when it was, but Isa wasn’t going to question it. Perhaps it had just gotten around, somehow.
“...Thank you, Namine.”

10: Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?
Since the start of his journey as a keyblade master, he’s become more than obsessed with a need for balance. Balance in his duties and his personal life. Balance in right and wrong. A balance between light and dark. He doesn’t recognize it as a neurosis yet, but he is aware that the need is there. It’s an itch to be scratched.
20: Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them?
Probably one of his more interesting illnesses as a child was when he contracted the chicken pox days after starting primary school. There wasn’t much for him to do while afflicted, kept in isolation to protect the other children and prevent an outbreak. It was in that time that Riku became more adapt with his hands and fashioned his first play sword.
30:Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies)
He takes personal bad news rather well, having dealt with varying degrees of it from his early childhood. A broken home with a mother more concerned about her work, a stay at home father that made an income working with wood that vanished mysteriously one day out at sea, losing what family members he had to various disasters across the years, losing his home to the Dark, losing his friends... He’s pretty much come to expect bad news on any scale each day. And yet...
40: How misanthropic are they?
Despite the amount of bad in his life and how often he expects bad news to find him, he doesn’t distance himself from humanity. He tries to establish more ties and connections, trying to ground himself to those around him. He recognizes that he is part of the Human Condition and that ties like friendship and family will not be his doom, but his saving grace.

✍ Has new canon material ever forced you to adjust your headcanons?
// Well, the funny thing is that I’ve just started rping Kairi only about a month or two ago, so it’s kinda hard to have canon material adjust my hc’s of her.
I will say that it was really difficult to figure out how her really brash (and rather stupid at times in my opinion) she is. She sees danger and, even if she knows that it’s a threat, she will walk right up to said danger.
❀ Share a headcanon you have not shared.
// Hmmm… an hc I haven’t shared… How about how she used to get really good grades in classes until after the events of KH1. That’s when things started declining. Not by much at first. She’d daydream or think about the past more and miss the notes for the class or not be able to do her homework well.
Then, after the events of KH2, she got worse. A lot worse. She wasn’t able to stop thinking about what was going on outside of her tiny home in the tiny world of Destiny Islands. She couldn’t stop thinking about the dangerous and important things her two best friends were doing out in the universe while she just sat in class listening to lectures about math and history and any other subject. So, at this point, she is trying an extremely hard to just keep C’s in her classes.
