it took centuries for caius to actually like them, and even longer  to trust them.                                       the only common ground these three men had were      to watch the romanian coven burn to the ground,           and to build their empire from its ashes.         but that is where the common ground ends.       in retrospect, they are three entirely different people,        and because of this, each clash with each other over time.                                           but do not let this fool you.        caius would kill anyone who tried to harm them.

with aro, their relationship was    fractured   from the start.       caius, unknowing of aro’s gift, was  mortified, angry, and emotionally wounded to know that the simple act of shaking his hand gave aro access to knowledge caius never intended anyone to know.         (      things that even     his own wife    is unaware of, and that she to the present day is still ignorant to.        )        it strained their relationship for centuries, but as time progressed, anger turned to tolerance, tolerance to fondness, and eventually love.         what followed was unyielding trust.        there is not a soul on earth caius trusts more than aro.

marcus has always been a different story.           caius never thought twice about him, only granting him respect that he was owed considering he ruled as well.       what would bond them is didyme’s death.           in caius’s eyes, she was the sister he never had.              and in their grief,       caius and marcus formed a friendship that would rival all others.        caius would destroy any who aimed to harm marcus, and he frequently spends his time trying to keep the other preoccupied from the eternal grief that haunts him.
