Lucifer just stood there, watching the one who'd been made so perfectly for him. Of course there may have been a few... difficulties. A strong will and a fight within Sam Winchester that wasn't easily put down. But then, Lucifer had expected nothing less from someone who was so much like himself. 

Had Sam just up and surrounded, up and fallen, the archangel was sure he would have been... disappointed.
