SO MUCH SMUT IN MY INBOX. HEHEHEHEHEH. >:)
Lmao.
SO I just stumbled upon my old blog from my freshman year and I found a blog that I posted on 8 June 2009. I guess I've always had a tendency of getting myself into things! I had to share this :)
Well today was a very interesting day. First of all, I was the opening cashier at work today. AKA: I had to be there at 7, which suicks big time. Well I’m always extremely bored because I’m pretty much the only one on the front end of the store, so I have to keep myself entertained (most of the time with a book or my journal or something of the sorts). Well we have bubble-gum machines up front and there’s this really cool one that has the sticky stuff that you can stick to stuff like walls and glass and whatnot, as well as other cool stuff. Well, bored, I decide to try my luck at the machine, in hopes of finding something to pass the time by with. Well I got a sticky frog that was attached to this really long string. Well I was swinging the string around my finger and broke it, so I was left with a really sticky frog. Well I wanted to see HOW sticky it was. SO… I threw it on the ceiling. It stuck. Really good. I figured that it would eventually fall and it would be all fine and dandy. Well after a few minutes I decided that it wasn’t going to come down on its own. So I start to panic a little bit because there’s this huge booger looking thing on the 12 foot ceiling of the store… someone was going to notice sooner or later. So I look around trying to find something tall enough to reach it and scrape it off. I mean it’s a grocery store… surely I could find SOMETHING. Well I did. A fishing rod. So I take this rod and am frantically scraping at the ceiling. (Now keep in mind that all the while, customers are coming in and giving me odd looks). Well all that this scraping is accomplishing is that I’m spreading it out further on the ceiling. Getting it more stuck. So I go on to plan B. I get a plastic fork and duct tape it to the end of a broom handle. I stand on my tip-toes and am trying to stab and fling this booger-frog off the ceiling. Well by this time, I got the attention of Mont, our book keeper, who’s rolling on the floor practically, laughing at me and what I get myself in to. Well among the customers and the taunting book keeper, Ms. Debbie (our produce lady) comes to my rescue with an 8 foot ladder. Needless to say, there’s a terrible grease spot on the ceiling, a really dirty sticky frog in the trashcan of register one, and a very interesting lesson learned. Never, ever, EVER throw sticky things at the ceiling. Bad things WILL happen.
