5) things you didn’t say at all *shakes fist at my internet*

There’s a bomb inside his chest. A bomb made of human souls, building up like a tidal wave inside of him. Dean knows, he knows from the second Rowena slaps it inside of him, what’s going to happen. 

He watches the realization settle over Cas, too many thousand years schooling his expression into something soft and sad. He says I could go with you and Dean’s stomach clenches up hard. 

Sam won’t look him in the eye, and that’s okay. Dean can see the stress fractures all over his brother, he knows one wrong move will break him into a million pieces. He can’t do that. 

Sammy’s gotta be strong, he has to keep going. Keep fighting. 

It’s not until he’s standing in the clearing, removed from everyone else, that Dean allows himself to blow out a shaky breath. 

There are other people he wanted to say goodbye to, and things he should have said. 

He thinks of Russ, offers up a silent prayer to Cas to try and look out for him. Thinks that maybe he should have said you’re the brother I didn’t know I needed and stay strong or maybe even help keep Sammy safe. 

But it’s too late now.

DOES HARMON HAVE REOCCURRING THEMES IN HIS DREAMS?:

YES! there is often some kind of faint, glowing LIGHT in his dreams. be it around a corner, in front of him, far away – he’s UNSURE as to what this could mean. another dream harmon OFTEN has wherein he’s LOST, and cannot find his way back to whichever destination he’s looking for.

HOW QUICK/SLOW IS HARMON TO RESORT TO PHYSICAL CONFRONTATION?:

VERY slow. harmon will never, EVER resort to physical confrontation unless it’s ABSOLUTELY necessary – that, or when it’s purge night. harmon’s confrontations, when he HAS them, are more VERBAL than anything else. agitation is shown MOST in his eyes. he tends to avoid most forms of confrontation by being as SILENT as he usually is.

“Cas!”

It comes out harsh, his throat aching from being thrown across the room by the son of a bitch demon, but he’s crawling over to Russ, blood on his hands, on Russell’s shirt, coated across the line of the rod sticking out of his chest. 

It’s panicked, his call for the angel. Because Dean knows, he knows that if Cas can’t help him, then no one can. 

This whole fucking hunt had gone sideways, and fast. 

“You listen to me. You’re going to be fine. Cas is going to take care of you. And then I’m going to shove this angel blade right up that demon’s ass and make him regret the day he ever met us. But right now, I need you to stay with me, okay? Just stay with me.”
