Mauricio Celis has his dual citizenship in both the U.S. and Mexico and practices law in both countries. While he has practiced law in Mexico on a limited basis since 2000 as permitted by the Mexican Constitution, in 2013 he registered his law degree with the Secretariat of Education, Department of Professions to be able to fully practice law. Before his career as a licensed attorney, Mr. Celis worked as a legal investigator. He is a military veteran of the United States Navy who received an honorable discharge after his time in military service.
