I feel like the only way LightMisa might ever work, is if L started appreciating how Misa’s actually a lot smarter than she acts. And this then made Light focus on it, too, because he didn’t want to miss something that L was.
I say this, because... while Lawlight is my Death Note OTP... I do think Misa mostly deserved better. And it kind of hurts me, all that she gave to Light, while he didn’t care at all and treated her rather badly. She loved him so much, with all of her heart, and he didn’t even bat an eye.
I definitely OT3 Lawlightmisa some, and maybe want to write some fics about it (maybe even some LightMisa, in this alternate universe I’m making, if I can figure it out, because again: Misa deserved better to me). And this is probably how I’d go about it, I’m guessing.
