I know it's difficult to forgive me, it must be. I just want you to know that I did try to come back, many times. I didn't know I was too late until they let me go back. I know it must be confusing to see what I did after getting out of there, maybe it even feels like betrayal, and I can't explain it. I'm not asking for forgiveness, just to know that you don't hate me.

Oh Amanda, I wanted to help you so much. I wanted to help you get free from John, but all he did was lock you into games over and over and over again until you died. You really went through hell. I'm so sorry that all my efforts could not save you, you deserved far better than that.
