This is personal post and not within my general posting scheme but this couldn’t be more true. I’ve been extremely lucky in life to have one of those fierce lady friendships for five years now and I couldn’t be more thankful. She is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. She has the kindest heart, the wickedest sense of humor, a fashion sense to die for, and she is a badass Attorney. I can’t imagine not having her in my life. She’s just makes everything a littler brighter. She’s accepts all my quirks, my weird interests, and makes anyone feel like they can do anything and be anyone. She has a thirst for knowledge that is unparalleled and makes her your worst nightmare in the courtroom. She makes everyone around her want to be better. She’s put up with my terrible hair choices, my questionable music taste, my terrible driving, all my obsessions with Sims, Teen Wolf, and Agents of Shield. She shares my love and enthusiasm for books and there’s nothing quite like a discussion with her about something we’ve been reading. She never made me feel like I had to be anything other than the quirky, grumpy bitch I am. I hope everyone finds a friend like her. Not only have I been lucky enough to call her friend but I’ve also been lucky enough to call her my co-worker thus far.
Unfortunately, today was her last day at the Attorney General’s office. She’s done such amazing work, impacted the lives of so many families and children. She’s fought hard for every one of her cases and poured her heart and soul into that job. They lost one of the greats! While I’m heartbroken to see her go (truly, I couldn’t even write her goodbye book because I’m not emotionally quipped to handle the fact I will not see her on Monday.) I’m so excited for her to move on to something bigger, brighter, and better.
Kimberly, I adore the shit out of you and I’m thankful for these five years of friendship. I’m looking forward to many more years. You are going to make one hell of a Prosecutor and I can’t wait to see where this leads you. I wish you all the joy and happiness as you begin this next chapter in your life.
