Love You (+ a movie theater secret)

Hello lovers.  Here we are, valentine's day '13, going strong.  Did you get yourself a gift yet?  No? Go buy yourself something.  I like to advocate for non-edible gifts but if you are in the mood for chocolate and no one bought any for you, go get some of those chocolate Cadbury mini eggs that magically reappear in stores every valentines day.  They are addictive and even the smallest bag has a ton.

If you have a date tonight - good for you! 

If you don't have a date tonight, do what I do when I can't stay home without sending inappropriate texts to inappropriate people - go to the movies!

I highly suggest seeing Silver Linings Playbook.  It is a Rom-Com but it will make you think that finding the right person at the right time will happen, and that you can wait for it. 

If you've already seen SLP or can't handle even the slightest bit of romance today, you might want to try Zero Dark Thirty. I haven't seen it yet but if it's even remotely similar to Homeland, it's probably amazing. 

Bring at least 1 bag of Cadbury mini eggs to the movie, and buy yourself popcorn.  Ask for LAYERED BUTTER.  They don't do it unless you ask. 

For those of you who don't know, layering the butter is when you fill the tub of popcorn half way, butter it, SHAKE IT AROUND (this step is often missed) and then fill it up the rest of the way and put more butter on top.  The popcorn attendant will usually know what layering is and will not judge you - everyone knows dry popcorn is the worst.  You're not paying $8 for it to be tasteless.

If you've never layered butter before and you're taking your hot single self to the movies tonight, this will be your best valentines day ever.
