Based in Moscow, Lay-Far is a deejay, producer, and the owner of In-Beat-Ween Music label. He’s been a driving force behind the soulful and eclectic music scene in Russia for the last 7 years. He got the international recognition as a skilful deejay and selector, linking the gaps between deep, Detroit and soulful house, rare disco grooves, funk, jazz-tinged bangers, afro-beat and bringing a distinctive sonic mixture to satisfy one’s body, mind, and soul. He’s been headlining some of the main global music events from London, Berlin to Tokyo, and sharing the decks with the likes of Motor City Drum Ensemble, Mark Pritchard, Detroit Swindle, and more. With various releases under his belt on such well-known labels as Local Talk Records, Atjazz Record Company, Lazy Days., etc. He’s been achieving continuous support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Osunlade, Move D just to name a few. Apart from his solo work and projects, he has been sharing his skills and knowledge as a tutor of Sound Engineering and Sound Design Faculty at the Moscow Film School. This year he released the ‘So Many Ways Remixed’ album on his own imprint, and he’ll also release his second full-length album via Local Talk Records, and many other projects.
