||A passing thought for ur Chrysos Heir DH <3 (feel fre to delete if it doesn't fit)
"You do not need to be so wary of me, child." Dan Feng said calmly, dragging his fingers along the water surface.
The ripples spread and distort their reflections. Images of the Scalegorge Waterscape, the High Elder statue, shifts to Amphoreus grand baths.
"I am nothing more than a ghost of our past." He states, folding his hands behind his back as he observes Amphoreus. Then he looks at Dan Heng, "What you do with your life is yours alone. If this is the place you call home, then it will be your home. No one, not even me, can dispute it's true value to you."
The water at Dan Feng's feet hissed like quenching steel as a magmatic dragon shaped like their shared, draconic form undulated around Dan Feng curiously, but protectively. It was funny how Dan Feng's ghost had haunted him all his life, had been with him in prison in the form of a tormentor that had been constructed from the Preceptor's tarnishing of the man and the crime that wasn't what it was said to be. Georios had shown him that. Perhaps it was only fitting that the Titan had conjoined with his soul just as Axiuhe had, providing insight and power outside of the Azure Dragon's line.
There were things he could see and experience where he hadn't before. This was one of those phenomena.
"I was told you were a monster," the Heir informed the ghost with a closing throat, and everything felt so different. The Coreflame blazed inside his chest like a smelting furnace, hands balling into fists. "I was told you were an irredeemable sinner."
His eyelids sank closed, composing himself with a breath. "You failed. The people around you suffered because of you. But... not this time. I won't let it happen again. I'll succeed where you failed."
